ArtShare-QueerLensInFocus is a arts-based, photovoice research project centering the voices of 14 LGBTQ + displaced people who use photography to share their lived experience, focusing on concepts of home, identity, hopes and dreams, challenges and fears, and perspectives of the refugee crisis.

We curated an exhibit of their work at the Athens Museum of Queer Art (AMOQA) in Greece last spring and plan to hold an exhibit at Art Share Gallery in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, March 23rd from 7-10pm. The flyer attached provides more details about the event.

If you can’t make it to the art exhibit opening, some of the photographs will be displayed on the second floor of Manzanita Hall in the exhibit space during the month of April.

Please feel to share with your friends and colleagues! I hope to see you at the art exhibit opening!

Sincerely,

Moshoula, Milia, the refugee artist-participants, and LGBTQI+ Refugees Welcome Collective
