We are so excited to announce the Keynote Speaker for the 2018 Positive Sexuality Conference! Susan Wright, Founder of National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, will be presenting “Consent is the Foundation of Sexual Freedom” May 18, 2018.
NCSF and Center for Positive Sexuality have been active partners for several years, co-sponsoring the Journal of Positive Sexuality, as well as cross-promoting events and fundraisers. Both organizations have also been working on a collaborative project, coming out later this fall.

Susan Wright founded the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom in 1997, and currently serves as Spokesperson and Director of Incident Reporting & Response. Susan has presented over a hundred seminars for professional organizations, Universities and community groups on discrimination against consenting adults, consent, and sex & the media. She chaired the successful DSM-5 Revision Project which resulted in the consensual paraphilias being separated from Paraphilic Disorders. She also coordinated the SM Policy Reform Project for the National Organization for Women (NOW) that replaced the outdated Delineation of Lesbian Rights with one that embraced diversity of sexual behaviors at their national conference in 1999. Susan has also conducted several surveys documenting discrimination and violence against BDSM practitioners as well as consent practices and attitudes.
