DESCRIPTION: An online study on healthcare provided for the LGBTQ+ community including people of color. The purpose of this study is to better understand the experiences and health of LGBTQ+ individuals as well as the quality of services received by racial and ethnic minorities. While I know that has been historically problematic that researchers exclude or misuse people of Color to represent their voices, I do hope to use the results from this study for the purposes of better understand how clinicians and social service agencies can better support the LGBTQ+ community including people of Color. 

 

The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The study has been approved by the Boston College Institutional Review Board and is supervised by Dr. Paul Poteat. For those interested, I can provide a free online research editorial outlining major findings from the study as well as future research directions. 

 

INCLUSION CRITERIA: You must be 18 years or older, identify as LGBTQ+, have experienced some form of intimate partner abuse, and have received services within this last year. Participation would be voluntary and confidential. I am attaching the IRB for your review.
