The Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Human Sexuality Program will be running from March 5th-7th 2012. This course was one of the first of its kind to be offered at a medical school almost 40 years ago. This course has experienced some changes over-time but remains an essential component to the curriculum.
The program is held on campus at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Piscataway and is intended for 2nd year medical students to give them an overview of sexual issues and get them more comfortable taking sexual histories and referring to others in the field. We have opened up the program to include AASECT members who would like to earn CE credits. We have been approved for 16 CE credits for the 3 day program. Sorry there is no partial credit for attending one day. The cost is $250 for all 3 days.
The program consists of large group lectures and panel discussions. In addition, participants will be able to attend two workshops on both Tues and Wed. The program schedule, registration and other important information can be found:
The updated schedule and list of workshops being offered can be viewed at: Click on UMDNJ/RWJ Human Sexuality Program 2012. There are links available for the updated schedule and workshop list.
If you have any questions about the program please contact the coordinator for the program, Shannon Bertha at The link will have two other names where you can send your check if you would like to participate; however, if you have any specific questions about the program please contact me.
